CARROLL SWENSON-ROBERTS
Carroll remembers attending church as a child but only liking the art. These pieces told stories in a direct but mysterious way and she thought it was a wonderful way of communicating. The stories in her artworks are not linear. Instead, the whole story is there to be seen in the order the viewer wishes to see it. The subjects of the stories she tells narrate memories and thoughts of family, friends, walks, travels, marriage, motherhood, childhood, pets, meals, music, dance, and gardens.
